Shh, don't tell Princess

Yes, I know that this blog is intended to cover our Circle Pacific cruise in June, BUT it was the day after we arrived home from our World Cruise that I found in the travel supplement an advertisement for a package including an 18 day cruise back to Auckland  on the Queen Victoria.  It was too good to turn down, so here we are just 4 days to go until we fly out to LA, have an overnight in Santa Monica and then board QV, which is doing a World Cruise, having left Southampton on 10th January.  We have the "boring" sector which includes San Francisco , 2 Hawaiian ports, Apia in Western Samoa and back home to Auckland on the 23 January.

Vivian has always been keen to try Cunard, and this seemed like a good idea.  Must say that it will be funny to be Cunard virgins - no perks at all and will have to pay for Internet,  so postings may be a little sparce,  relying on WiFi at the various ports. However it will certainly be  an unbiased report .  Considering that they are both part of the Carnival group, I had expected a similar approach, but perhaps this is the first of the "what is this ?"

So the bags are packed and we are almost ready.  Hopefully there will be regular updates, but failing that, there will at least be a full review on our return.  Watch this space !
